Earful

Collect the stories that move decisions.

Earful is a platform for gathering first-person stories at scale, under your own brand, and turning them into evidence you can cite.

The problem

You can’t learn what you didn’t think to ask.

Stories carry what no question anticipated. Today they reach most organizations one at a time, wherever they happen to land: forwarded by a partner, mentioned in a listening session, typed into a reply to a newsletter.

What you can’t do with them

  • Search them
  • Count them
  • Quote them, with no consent on file
  • Find them again in six months

How it works

What Earful does with a story.

Someone takes two minutes to tell you what happened. What lands on your side is a record you can filter, count, and quote.

  1. 01

    Branded intake

    • Your name and colors on every screen. Earful is a line in the footer.
    • First name, ZIP, and the story are all that’s required.
    • Follow-up questions react to what was just described.
    • Resumes server-side if the connection drops.
  2. 02

    Automatic structuring

    • Issue tags, severity, and a plain-language summary.
    • Runs after submit, so the form never waits on a model.
  3. 03

    Staff review

    • Filter and search everything collected.
    • A ranked queue of what needs a human decision.
    • Approve, flag, or hold in bulk.
    • Email back the people who agreed to be contacted.
  4. 04

    Evidence out

    • A public page: approved stories beside aggregate charts.
    • Ask in plain language; retrieval is by meaning, not keyword.
    • Briefings, CSV export, and a contact list for press.

One campaign is a questionnaire, a brand, and a date range. Set up in an afternoon, run for a season, closed with a record. Running several at once is normal.

What’s different

Built so you can cite it in public.

Any form can collect a story. The difference is how quickly you can put what you’ve gathered to use, and how much more you can do with it than most organizations can today.

Consent is collected in pieces

Separate opt-ins for publishing, contact, and quoting, plus the person’s own choice of how their name appears. Nothing goes public without the matching one.

Personal detail comes out first

Addresses, phone and account numbers are flagged, and a redacted version is what displays. Threats and anything defamatory wait for a person to decide.

Hardened against abuse

Rate limits, a bot trap, and duplicate detection that flags for review rather than quietly dropping someone real.

Numbers come from the database

Totals and breakdowns by state, issue, and severity are queried. No model estimates a count.

Every claim links to a story

Briefings cite submissions inline, and each citation opens the story behind the sentence. Sampling reaches across themes, so small ones aren’t lost.

Model cost is tracked per campaign

The AI line item is visible by campaign and month, so there are no surprises at the end of a season.

Contact

Working with early partners.

Earful is built and deployed, not a mockup. Intake, review, and publication all run today, with a small number of partner organizations collecting on live issues under their own brands. If this matches a problem you have, or you want to know where it doesn’t, email us.
